
The study program should primarily train staff for the development and application of modern program models in energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and environmental protection, which is an important component in the development of modern energy. In doing so, it is assumed that:
* education should provide the opportunity to choose a profession and employment,
* training students to independently monitor, acquire, develop and apply modern scientific and professional achievements,
* providing the opportunity to graduate students to enroll in doctoral academic studies after completing their graduate academic studies.
The study outcomes of the proposed Program should ensure:
* acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge needed on the labor market in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and environmental protection,
* meeting the needs of the economy, public and private companies, state institutions and local governments for experts in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and environmental protection,
* improving the level and variety of higher education offered in the Republic of Serbia, such education that enables the student to be mobile in the educational space during his studies and in the world market after that.
The study program for Master’s academic studies in Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Sources and Environmental Protection provides high-quality study and education of personnel, who will be able to respond to the challenges of modern science through:
* permanent monitoring of current scientific trends and achievements and transfer of knowledge to students through modern curricula,
* enabling the transfer of modern knowledge, methods and scientific techniques that are applied in developed world, primarily European, university centers.
Through theoretical and practical classes, students should be trained to be able to successfully implement their knowledge in the fields of energy after completing their studies and to independently carry out scientific research in the field of energy, as well as related disciplines. In the course of their daily work, after completing the Study Program, students will be able to model new programs, to check them and to valorize the effects of their application in working with different categories of users.
The key goals of the Master’s academic studies in Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Sources and Environmental Protection are to train students to:
* developing and maintaining personal and professional ethical practice standards,
* independent and continuous acquisition of knowledge necessary for competent practice in different professional contexts,
* independent observation of theoretical and professionally relevant problems and conception and implementation of research related to defined problems,
* the application of modern technical and technological methods and techniques for the purpose of solving various professional problems,
* integrating theoretical and practical knowledge,
* professional communication with clients for the purpose of diagnosing their problems, delays, requests and needs.

After graduation, the Master of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Sources and Environmental Protection is qualified to:
* looks at the basic theoretical, methodological and practical implications of various theoretical systems and models,
perceives problems independently, abstracts them and defines them in a way that enables scientific or professional research,
* plans, designs and conducts research in various areas of energy efficiency,
* precisely conceives the findings of his own and others’ research and communicates them to the academic public in a competent manner in oral or written form,* achieves team communication and assumes an organizational and leadership role in team work,
* shows sensitivity to ethical dilemmas and finds solutions in accordance with general moral principles and the ethical code of the profession,
* understands and applies knowledge from energy efficiency for planning and implementing interventions in various fields of technology,
* understands and applies the principles of construction, administration, processing, interpretation and evaluation of necessary measuring instruments.
