The second degree study program represents an extension of the education of managers and experts of other profiles engaged in management in the field of higher education. In this sense, the teaching of the second degree is designed so that in the first semester it concentrates on aspects of general knowledge, while in the second, through the choice of one of the optional subjects and the creation of a diploma thesis, the student has the opportunity to focus on one of the topics and areas that is of particular interest.
The main purpose of the study program of graduate academic studies of management in higher education is to acquire an educational basis, professional qualifications in accordance with the needs of the labor market, as well as to prepare students for further professional-scientific training in various specialist and doctoral studies in the field of management or related fields. In the absence of related study programs, these studies may also be useful to teachers / directors / administrative staff in other educational institutions.
The main goal of the proposed Study Program is to acquire an appropriate higher education in the field of management in higher education. This includes training students for the acquisition, development and application of scientific, professional and artistic achievements in the field of management, as well as the higher education system.
This program aims to provide students with a solid basis for an analytical and critical approach to change processes at all relevant levels in the field of higher education. These are the processes:
* the recent (re)discovery of higher education as a crucial sector of sustainable socio-economic development and strengthening of cultural awareness,
* the growing influence of globalization and economic liberalization of higher education,
* growing attention paid to the quality of the teaching process, research and other services, at the national and international level.
The study program particularly emphasizes issues of quality control and development in higher education, as well as the achievement of European standards in this field.
By mastering the Study Program, the student acquires the following general abilities:
* highly developed communication skills – oral and written;
* the ability to actively apply IC technologies
* communication and cooperation in teamwork, as well as with different actors from the social and international environment;
* presentation of research results in a way that is understandable and accessible to everyone;
* capacity for learning throughout life;
* determination and responsibility in making decisions and efficiency in implementing procedures.
The student also acquires the following subject-specific abilities:
* to know and understand the systems, institutions and principles of structuring teaching programs in higher education,
* to apply basic concepts, theories and disciplinary principles from the field of higher education research in practice,
* to analyze and understand the role of quality management and development in higher education.
