The OAS Chemistry study program lasts four years (8 semesters), has a total of 240 ESPB points and belongs to the field of natural and mathematical sciences. The point value of each course is shown in the table of course schedules by semesters and years of study, as well as in the tables of course specifications. By passing the exam and performing professional practice, the student acquires the professional title of graduate chemist (abbreviated as dipl. chem.). Teaching methods depend on the type of teaching: active and interactive teaching, independent work of students, colloquiums, seminars, exams, homework, etc. Active and interactive teaching is achieved through lectures, exercises (experimental and theoretical), consultations and mentoring. Lectures, exercises and consultations are held according to the schedule every week in the semester.
The purpose is for the student to acquire knowledge in the key areas of chemistry: inorganic, organic, physical, analytical, applied chemistry, biochemistry and chemistry teaching methods, with additional background in mathematics and physics in order to be capable of competent work in chemical laboratories in all branches of industry. in development, control, service, research laboratories, as well as in educational institutions (primary schools, gymnasiums and vocational secondary schools).
By mastering the study program, the student acquires the following general abilities:
systematic understanding of basic physical and chemical principles;
ability to work safely in a laboratory environment;
the skill of applying information technologies in the processing of chemical information;
having oral and written communication skills in the mother tongue.
By mastering the study program, the student acquires the following subject-specific abilities:
способност примене фундаменталних теоријских и практичних знања из хемије и сродних природних наука на низ теоријских и практичних проблема;
- развијене практичне вештине у области хемије;performing standard laboratory experiments in a skillful and reliable manner;
ability to formulate, analyze and solve routine chemical problems in a logical and reliable way;
developed general skills in the field of chemistry that are also usable in other fields.
