The first convocation of the Student Parliament of the State University in Novi Pazar, based on the Law on Higher Education, Article 56, was constituted in April 2007 and had 15 members.
The mandate of the first „leadership“ of the Parliament lasted one year. During that time, several very important actions were carried out and contacts were established with almost all student organizations in the country, but also with several European student organizations.
Since then, until today, the Student Parliament of the State University in Novi Pazar has continuously developed. Now it is organized so that each study program is connected directly to the Student Parliament, and in this way the possibility has been created to more efficiently influence the quality of the teaching process at the level of the entire University. This required an increase in the number of students within the Student Parliament from 15 members to 21. The work of the Student Parliament is defined in Article 56 of the Law on Higher Education.
