About the Department

The vision of the Department of Economic Sciences of the State University of Novi Pazar is to attain a leading position in the fields of economics, management, tourism and hospitality by contributing — through education, research and innovation — to the sustainable development of the Raška and Zlatibor Districts and the wider region.

The mission of the Department of Economic Sciences is to educate top-level experts in these fields through unique study programmes grounded in the latest achievements of economic science and business practice, as well as in the programmes of accredited economics faculties in Serbia, Europe and beyond. By linking theory and practice, in collaboration with industry and renowned academic institutions, the Department develops competent, innovative and socially responsible individuals ready to drive positive change in society and the economy.

Teaching at the Department of Economic Sciences is conducted at the Bachelor Academic Studies (BAS) and Master Academic Studies (MAS) levels.

Bachelor Academic Studies — Two accredited programmes:

1. Economics and Management
Duration: 4 years (8 semesters), 240 ECTS.
Academic title: Graduate Economist (Grad. Econ.), with diploma supplement indicating specialisation in economics, management, marketing, finance, banking or accounting.

2. Tourism
Duration: 4 years (8 semesters), 240 ECTS.
Academic title: Graduate Manager (Grad. Man.), with diploma supplement indicating specialisation in tourism, hospitality and business economics.

Admission requirements (both programmes):
— Completed four-year secondary education (up to 40 points), and
— Entrance examination in two subjects of choice: informatics, economics, geography or mathematics (up to 60 points).


Master Academic Studies — Accredited programme:
1. Business Economics
Duration: 1 year (2 semesters), 60 ECTS.
Academic title: Master Economist (M.Econ.).

Admission requirements:
— Completed bachelor academic studies of at least 240 ECTS at an accredited higher education institution, and
— Entrance examination: written test in economics, management, marketing, finance, banking and accounting.
