Laboratory for Biomedical Research

Research activity of the Laboratory for Biomedical Research is based on the study of molecular mechanisms of pathophysiological changes in pregnancy (pre-eclampsia, hypothyroidism and thrombophilia) and the physiological mechanisms of redox homeostasis, cell proliferation and migration, as well as on the investigation of biological activities of synthesised and natural active substances.

Mission: Through scientific research and education, combined with the continuous professional development of researchers, methods and research techniques, the Laboratory contributes to the advancement of existing knowledge and to the development of new insights in the fields of human physiology and cell biology.

Vision: The Laboratory aims to develop into a Centre of Excellence in biomedical interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, to establish international scientific cooperation, and to contribute to the integration of the State University of Novi Pazar into the European Research Area.
