About the Centre
In conducting its activities, the State University of Novi Pazar integrates educational and scientific research work as components of a unified educational process. The University conducts scientific research with the aim of advancing knowledge and scholarly creativity, improving higher education activities, enhancing the quality of teaching, developing young researchers, introducing students to scientific research, and creating the material conditions required for the University's work and development.
Scientific research activity within the University is carried out in accordance with the Scientific Research Work Programme and the Young Researcher Development Programme of the State University of Novi Pazar, both of which are aligned with the tasks and objectives of the University as well as with national and European higher education goals and standards.
Scientific research is a right and an obligation of all teaching staff, associates and researchers at the University, as well as all persons engaged by the University who fulfil the conditions prescribed by the legislation governing scientific research activity and by the University's internal acts. Scientific research constitutes the foundation for the conduct and improvement of the teaching process, with which it forms an inseparable whole and the primary activity of the University.
The development of young researchers is a fundamental right and obligation of teaching staff, associates and researchers at the University. It is based on creating conditions for monitoring and selecting young talent interested in continuing their education and pursuing an academic career, both domestically and abroad, and on providing conditions for the employment of the most qualified individuals at the University.
Scientific research at the University is conducted through fundamental, applied and developmental research in accordance with the legislation governing scientific research activity and the Regulations on Scientific Research Activity of the State University of Novi Pazar. The University is committed to establishing various forms of cooperation with domestic and international scientific research organisations, companies, business associations and other bodies.
Scientific research at the University is carried out within scientific research units — departments, laboratories and divisions — and specialist teams headed by a laboratory or project leader. Laboratories and divisions are distinct organisational units of the Research and Innovation Centre and the University in which scientific research and specialist work is conducted. They are established to structure and develop research, specialist and educational activities in a specific area of science or professional practice. Various experiments are conducted within them as part of student instruction, for applied research purposes, or with a view to providing services.
