The youth of Novi Pazar — the students — have their own association: the Sports Union of the State University of Novi Pazar, which organises and implements university competitions in Novi Pazar. Based on their results, athletes or sports teams proceed to compete in the University Championship of the Republic of Serbia or in international student competitions.

Goals
The Sports Union of the State University of Novi Pazar has two main goals:
1. University Championship in Novi Pazar
The first convocation of the Student Parliament of the State University of Novi Pazar was constituted in April 2007, pursuant to Article 56 of the Higher Education Act, and had 15 members. Since then, the Student Parliament has developed continuously, now structured so that each study programme is directly connected with the Parliament, enabling more effective influence on the quality of the teaching process across the entire University.
2. Sport and Recreational Activities
University life represents a special period in a student's journey. Beyond academic overview, students have access to information about studying at home and abroad, student internships and scholarships, student organisations, training programmes, student employment, student dormitories and restaurants, as well as topics related to leisure, music, sport and more.
