About the Department
The Department of Philological Sciences trains students in the fields of Serbian literature and language, and English language and literature. Students acquire scholarly and professional knowledge and skills aligned with the needs of society and projected social development. The study programmes are designed to comprehensively and in-depth equip students for careers in education, scientific institutes, cultural institutions and the media.
Students are enabled to gain broader knowledge and skills in philology, equipping them to solve concrete problems in the philological domain. Given the importance of philology and its integration into all spheres of life and work, graduates of these programmes possess socially justified and useful competences.
Teaching at the Department is conducted at the Integrated Academic Studies (IAS) level, with Master Academic Studies (MAS) also available.
