BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES

About the Department

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is engaged in the delivery of teaching in the fields of rehabilitation, sport and physical education, and conducts scientific research in those areas. The Department also encompasses the Bachelor Applied Studies programme in Health Care Nursing.

Students acquire knowledge and skills from the basic and applied sciences, as well as the medical sciences, applicable in health institutions, education, scientific institutions, and sporting, recreational, therapeutic, private and public-sector establishments.

Teaching at the Department of Biomedical Sciences is conducted at the Bachelor Academic Studies (BAS), Bachelor Applied Studies (BApS), Integrated Academic Studies (IAS), Master Academic Studies (MAS) and Doctoral Academic Studies (DAS) levels.
